When funk music icon Freekbass and music writer/videographer Rex-A-Vision get together there's only one thing on their minds...comic books and comic book movies! In this inaugural episode of The Backstage Supercast the guys lay out their agenda, talk the future of the Marvel movie franchise and the movies soon to be announced before a rousing discussion on the movie franchise that started it all...Superman! The highs of the first two are contrasted with the lows of the final entries at length and Rex even offers a couple of theoretical fixes that would make the misses into direct hits. In the future there will be guests but for now let's get to know our hosts and enjoy some deep dives into comic magic!

I can't say enough about this band and the impact their existence and music had had on my life, though I do try a smidge. Dango, Bridget Law, Daniel Rodriguez, Sage Cook, Bonnie Paine became more than just musicians, they became my friends and I am very happy to welcome the first of what will eventually be the entire band to the podcast! Okay....made the last one up but if he had the time to write I am sure he would be excellent! Rex-A-Vision EP:37 Jay Cobb Anderson of Fruition
Friday Apr 26, 2019
Friday Apr 26, 2019
Jay Cobb Anderson, one fifth of the mighty American powerhouse that is Fruition (Not to mention his solo work and side stuff like his work with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings) pops by to chat about life on the road, his song writing methodology and whether or not there has been a full band collision as they frenetically weave in and out of each other when the spirit moves them! Pretty proud of this one, from the content of the conversation to the rigiggered intro and my first attempt at having music under the entire chat and the special bonus song "Emmanuel" by TK & The Holy Know-Nothings that you can here if you make it to the end of the episode!!. Hope you dig it!
